kumphawapi giving and taking help

this is part of normal life here .once you have settled in you will find that you are doing all sorts stuff you would not do back home.thais help each other lot more then farang.when a new farang arrives he is regarded as the village cash cow or the guy who puts the party on.up to you how you handle that.but we were loaned a bike till we bought one .this is normal.when we did buy one i was a little shocked to see friends and family jump on it and rip off somewhere ,this is normal lol.my wifes sister was short of money but would not take a cash handout[yep i still had mmoney back then]so we bought 10 picnic matts off her.her husband was going to bangkok new job but not have boots he was given my high dollar aussi ones[oh now i laughted] when we moved into our shop they bought truck and cleaned house.a local womans father was rushed to hospital needed special treatment tira gave her the money she had to buy stock for shop with.we had little to sell for a week.our bike blew up so a thai friend has given us his car to use.when a friend or ffamily of friend dies tira takes our team and they prepare food through the nite for mourners and the monks.a friends father dies we go to pay respect etc and see his granddaughter is wearing old clothes tira takes her to a shop buys her new outfit and gives her mother 500 baht even though she was short of money.so it seems to me thai people help each other even if it hurts themselves.

post above just a few of the giving and taking ive seen but it does feel good to know that we have thai friends and family who will stick bye us in war or peace rich or poor p.s 6 times i have had different thai friends give me a new shirt or shorts ,yep dress like an everyday queenslander and they think you need new gear lol
