Use the specifications in the drawings, or adjust to your desire. Print out the design, and take them to a descent weld shop in Udon.

I chose a stainless steel sink fabricator in our area and was quoted up to 5000 baht on one of the Charcoal grill designs using 1.9mm thick stainless.

It can be less expensive depending what materials you chose and what size. Gas will cost more, but the gas components are everywhere in Udon.

This is great! I use Sketchup, never thought to search for BBQ's. I really need a new BBQ. I use a Thai half barrel type, 300 bht, works for the purpose, but ugly ass hell.

Thanks Moto. I'll design my version and post. I've seen some aluminum BBQ's, that to me seem more beneficial due to the Thai weather.

I showed this to a local BBQ maker. He's a Thai guy that makes the half barrel types, and very small, low quality. I just showed him the design I saved to my notebook, and it made his day. Now he wants to make BBQ's for foreigners, or from the gist of the conversation, BBQs for all.
I showed him what I wanted, and things went well and he only asked me to provide more drawings to help his business. I get my 1st BBQ free, but I'll give him more than he deserves, just for the simple and easy Thai courtesy.

No problem, and glad to see it might put some cash into the pockets of a Thai entrepreneur. I think I like Jack's idea on the aluminum BBQ, so I'll have to look into that more, but it's a sound idea as there are a few aluminum BBQ's made worldwide.

I'll try and add more designs I prefer, and even ones I don't. I have quite a few projects going on, so it might be a bit.

Hmm, good idea. I checked out some BBQ's from Malaysia, and Pattaya, I think, but 20,000 to 30,000 bht is crazy, and for what?

Glad I stumbled on this. It won't hurt to try. Giving a local weld shop in Udon 4 to 5 grand would make their month to build one grill.

Guys, and maybe gals. This is nice. I like it. I went through the online tutorials, and was simple. I already have a local volunteer to start up BBQ for me.

What's the best way to share my BBQ design? I run Vista so maybe the snip-it tool will work.
