| Wow stokie, you must be very thin then, I got the train from surat thani to bangkok and it was the most hellish ride ive ever had, hardly a sleeper, more like a "waker" Me and the missus needed a sleep after out sleep, i regret not getting the bus 1200 is also pretty steep when u can fly with air asia for a standard 1500 or so (i got a ticket last month for only 730baht) and the bus, which is only about 400 we all like different things i guess but i wont get a train in Thailand again in a hurry | |

| From what i can see here http://www.railway.co.th/English/Time_HTML.aspThere is one at 8.20am from Bangkok which is second class only... It takes a whopping ten hours to get to Udon, which is about the same as the slow bus and about two hours more than the "we dont stop in many places" bus... cheerz | |
