2nd h samlaw experience

already got a bike, car to exy so went for a samlaw.mate boo has 1 and loves it.spotted this 1500cc 1 in a udon thani dealers shop vg cond .they want 37,500 but dow to 35,000.[new price 57000 baht]they tell us all good cond but will check it out before we pick up.friend andrew rode it back to kumphawapi.would only do 60k but clutch slipping .little disappoining as a highway cruiser.andrew is 6ft sum,n and with flip flops on had trouble with gear change etc.next day into local samlaw shop new clutch 1000baht[8 plates were stuffed]but still only 60k.motor running hot i think so back to local shop to check it but before i could blink they had stripped motor and got a 1700 bill.300 baht labour rest parts but motor sounds new crisp[not sure what they did].my thai wife just a little hot at the disappearing baht got a friend to check bill and bike before she pay.he finds all good but bearing gone in steering .has wrong speedo so shows 40 when doing 60 but we had guessed that].wife now wants to send me and samlaw to budda.guess ill be running it as it is for sometime.ran it around here and 10k to boos farm ok getting used to it .anyone buying one, buy a new auto ,the foot gears r very close to a very hot motor,bare feet or flip flops not the best .

ok all sorted running great.crook bearing in the steering turned out to be loose main bolt lol.motor dosnt run so hot now after o/h.the samlaw shop here in kumphawapi owner speaks fair english,is a nice friendly guy and jumps right on what ever your problem is.now that is a big plus getting things sorted.with 3 regulars and myself with a samlaw .samlaw outings are on the cards.
