thai wife and everyday life in kumpawapi

putting bunch posts up about what a retired kiwis life is like here in thailand.maybe give an insight to those thinking about moving to the land of smiles and living happy ever after with the lady of their dreams lol kumpawapi is a nice friendly town ,farang here get on great with the locals.95% of farang here are settled in with a thai wife and family.a poorer part of thailand hence a higher rate of ladies wanting a farang husband.most are village girls who have never been to a big city.i,m a kiwi but lived in aussi [queensland 20yrs]im almost 67 was married for 30 yrs when my wife left me[still dont know why as when she left she yelling hard so could not make out what said]thinking i was doomed to be a unloved lonely old man till 12mths later when on puta a pop up from tll got my attention.couple mths later im in kumpawapi starting a new life with my lady tira and her son pep.been here 18mths year back we opened a pizza and bakery shop.[just making ends meet]its been interesting ,such a change of life style,the food the people plus maybe i,ve seen more of the nitty gritty of life in the short time here then all my years before.

kumpawapi -getting set up.finding a home here was so easy as there are many house shops to rent.we pay $30nz a week rent.we used it as house only then 6mths later my wife wanted to open business here so a pizza etc shop it was.we are on a main road few blocks out of town centre.for transport we bought a near new scooter $1500nz.most household stuff we bought local rest from udon thani a big city maybe 40mins drive away.we found that anything bought local work or not most shop keepers will not take it back.in udon the big stores will no worries.

Kumphawapi? why would you want to live anywhere else, locals are friendly and everything is available makes the old ticker miss a beat hahahaha

u could write a book on this so will only cover what i,ve seen and think i understand.so why is a young thai women interested in a much older farang husband MONEY NEEDS fact.plus many thai women believe older farang are less likely to drink gamble and butterfly to excess like many young thai males.most thai women are happy married to a good thai man who provides anough for the family.but many can not.many thai ladies find themselves with child then husband or lover have taken off.having to fend for themselves there are few choises maybe work in a rice feild ,sell their bodies or find a farang husband.ok money needs are what gets a farang in the door to meet a thai lady .but once she commits to you u will have a loyal ,loving and caring wife.for a thai woman to be happy her needs r not great wealth just food on the table ,house for family but she does need for you to love care and be loyal.butterfly husband is every thai womens great fear.traps are maybe falling for a bar girl etc then u are gambling.but having said that there are many quality thai women who are forced to sell their bodies for family needs.thai family members will go to great lenths to help each other when in need.the other pitfall is age difference.when i was on tll i had beautiful 20 yr olds hitting on me,but i wanted a wife to share all with, a friend not a sex toy to bring out once a month lol with my wife to be tira i lucked out and i dont think i could have done better even if i knew what i was doing. pic is of my lady tira

ok ,you have met the thai lady of your dreams and she has school age children.there are free schools but they do not teach english etc every thai mother wants their children to go to a good school and these women will expose them selves to great hardship to do so.basic costs are for our two ,school fees 6000 baht ec for 6 months plus few more for clothing books etc.before i got here my wife had to work for many years in the markets cooking selling bbq chicken with her son at her feet,.another option is the local on the street money lender who pays the money charges 20% but takes small weekly payments,i thought this was bad but wife say no he good for poor thai people.our boy is my wifes only child but we also have a 14yro girl her niece.she was moved into our home well over a year go because the family thought she could be in danger as her mother had a much younger new husband that drinks alot.this is not uncommon here for children to be bought up by other family members then parents.girls here clean and cook boys eat sleep and play lol .these children when they start earning will then take care of there parents for the rest of their days.this is standard practice here.if you asked the average thai mother what she needed to be happy she would say a roof over her head ,food on the table ,money to send kids to school not more. pic is of our two proud thai babies

we love each other, and we will live in Phonphisai - Nong Khai .
I have never been there. She told me that is a beautiful and peaceful place, and I
totally believe about it.
We will open a Food shop .... Thai food and Italian food (I am Italian) and Italian
Pizza, do you think that in Phonphisai we could have success with our food shop?

well done and congrats with all farang food and bar business u might not make money.the idea is to rent or buy a shop house.profit needs to be a un-needed bonus.thais love basic pasta and pizza.you are very wecome to visit us in kumphawapi

Kumphawapi‏ is OK to visit for about an hour, but there is no reason to stay there and live unless one wants to sit and die of old age. Not too bad for short term and much better than living in Nong Wua So. To each their own I guess?
