thai embassy closed friday stuck in laos 5 days

visa run thurs paid 1300 baht then told embassy closed fri pick up passport on mon.very funny.stuck 4 nites in a hotel .had cable plenty beer whisky but still very boring.everything closes in lao by 6pm .many were caught out like me.guys were screaming at embassy staff that they had planes to catch ,women to meet etc the f and c words to the fore.free thai visa is no more 1000 baht now.have always stayed at khamkhoun hotel so knowing their friendy staff helped a lot.they have free internet which kept me in touch with home.i,ll be checking open days next time lol
